Fish Contaminants Monitoring Program (Fish Consumption Guidelines)

This project involved updating a software application specific to and for use by Ontario First Nations that helps users determine the quantity of fish that can safely be consumed. The software application also considers the individual characteristics of the user such as age, gender, weight, and average monthly fish meal consumption. The fish consumption guidelines, on which this software application was based, were previously updated for different species of fish in different fishing locations in 1994 through the Eagle project.
